About Lisa
“My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport.” – Steve McCurry
Lisa is an award-winning photographer with a particular pull towards Photojournalism. Born and bred on Sydney’s northern beaches in Australia, Lisa found her love and passion for photography at a young age on a family trip around France. Since then, Lisa has travelled extensively around the world, and lived in multiple cities, broadening her understanding of culture diversity, people, and landscape along the way.
Inspired by the legends of classic documentary photography – Steve Mccurry, Elliot Erwitt, Martin Parr, Robert Capa, and William Eugene Smith to name a few, Lisa is passionate about the art of documenting various faces, places and ways of life, and believes that through candid environments, a sense of realism and integrity to the subject can be appreciated on a whole new scope.
“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you aren’t close enough.” – Robert Capa
Through travel and culture, Lisa finds energy and inspiration towards her photographic craft in hope that through her images she can create a true sense of presence and deep emotion for her audience. Her most recent trips to Japan and Cuba have led Lisa to kickstart her photo series’ and embark on a new, exciting chapter in her craft.
